Entrecard Has Decided to Delete My Account

I just received this delightful email from Entrecard:

Your account 'WillOaks Studio' on entrecard.com has been deleted. The administrator gave the following reason:

no widget on blog

My reply to them is below and I have included the screen shot showing the EC widget right where it has been for many, many months, as my regular visitors can attest! (Screen shot above)

To E.C.:

Hello, you've made an error removing my account. A screen shot below is evidence that I do have your widget and the drops that I received today already are further evidence.

Please correct this error immediately (unless, of course, you'd like to get rid of me as an active EC member?)

So tell me, dear readers, is this why folks have been dropping EC? Has anyone else just been
arbitrarily canceled like this? Do they reinstate you if they realize they have made a mistake
or what? They canceled all my ads and there are almost 7000 credits sitting there, but I can no longer go to my dashboard, etc. This is really, really rude......

I really apologize to my advertisers and I'm really bummed to have lost the reservations that I had made for ads for this week, and had waited and waited to use. Is this a sign to leave Entrecard??

P.S. OK, I'm reinstated...see tomorrow's post for my quandary....

Well, the only thing they need to do is check your inbox and they would see you've been receiving drops! They are idiots!
I tried to drop earlier and got the "no such user" message. I'm glad I came back, it appears to be working now.

How ironic! I have 162 credits left on my account, deleted my EC widget on 3/1, and have left my account inactive--yet they don't delete ME!!! Ugh. AND I keep receiving drops to my invisible widget!!!

I don't miss it, Karen. My comments are the same numbers and my usual visitors PLUS some new ones are coming daily. I haven't found the downside of quitting it yet.

I took my widget off last week after all my adverts were finished. I was in Entrecard looking for the a way to remove my blog from the site so people would stop trying to advertise on it. While I was on EC and within seconds of removing my widget they deleted my account and sent me an email saying the same thing. All 7000 credits were gone, which I had planned on using on my other blogs. I sent them and email and they responded pretty fast. The reinstated my account so I could transfer credits. Then they removed me when I was finished.

My traffic has dropped a little but not enough to make it worth going back. I have more time to leave comments and interact with great blogs, unlike the majority of the ones in EC. I am glad they got it working for you again. I suspect they are nervous about having ghost dropping again.

Excuse my language but the are jackasses. They cannot keep all your credits. Those are yours. I'm so glad I got out when I did.

I was here earlier and got the no such user message when I tried to drop. I thought you had canceled your account and just hadn't gotten the widget off yet. Obviously someone has their head up their behind at EC. I've been thinking about giving it up but just haven't made the move yet.

I dropped on you this morning sometime. No problem at all. I drop on you often. Never had a problem finding your widget. Geez. I hope this gets resolved soon. :(

Babe, s**t happens...I still like EC because it gives me a small amount of exposure, I'm not all that knowledgeable about marketing a blog, and what is there to market for a blog like mine, which is just rants and rambles.
