Grand Finale (for the Lilies)
This is the climax of the Oriental Lily season for this year. And since the oriental lilies are the last to bloom here, it's the winding down of the 2009 lily season here at WillOaks Farm. I've been shooting images for a few days now, and saving them up for a few nice collections to be posted over the next couple of days.
I feel very special right now, in that the perfume of these lilies, wafting onto my deck, is just lovely. Tonight, the air is warm and moist, a "just past" full moon is rising, and then there's the fragrance of lilies.....you get the picture!

These are gorgeous! I love your description of the evening, it makes me want to invite myself over. ;)
Gorgeous flowers!
I do not have good luck getting my lilies to grow. Yours however are stunning. My roses do awesome though.
PJ--don't be sad--we'll find many other lovely things to point the camera at as the flowers fade!
Lucky Girl (and all!) come on over!!
Thanks, Nancy
Melissa--you're very lucky to grow good roses!! I've given up on them here as long as the Japanese beetle problem remains so awful!
Thanks to all for dropping by! K
I bet they smell amazing!

Lilies are one of my favorite summer flowers. They are so beautiful, bold and smell great, especially my StarGazers! I was on vacation when mine were in bloom, so its soooo nice to see your pictures!
Since I paint flowers, I was so happy to find your site and will bookmark to visit often in the future.
