Update on the Purrmeister

He gets bigger and cuter every day, currently about as big as Mariah, my female cat who is will be 7 years old on May 1. Purrmeister won't even be one until next October!

We've been training him to wear the "Invisible Fence" collar for a couple of weeks now. He would watch me put these on the two adults right before I let them out the door. But he would stay in and watch the fun through the window.

A few days ago, I was shaking rugs and gave up on trying to keep him inside so he had his first tentative foray on the deck and down the stairs. Mariah taught him how to roll in the dust.

Today was his second time out and first time unaccompanied. He seemed to stay in the flower beds that encircle the house and then, came right to me when I called him. That was quite amazing but maybe the calling part has to do with thinking there's FOOD to be had? Yes, eating is the joy of life here for the old Purrmeister and I still wonder when he'll grow into his big feet....and just HOW big he's going to get!!

Purrmeister is such a cutie. Thanks for posting the pics. I've never heard of that type of collar before.
Our cat Sammy would never allow me to put that on him :), but then he doesn't roam too far (he knows he might be missing out on treats)!

What a face on that one! And look at his legs - those are some sturdy looking legs - he might grow to be a big 'un

He's getting so big but is still as cute as can be! We used to have those collars for dogs and I didn't know they made them for cats. I'm too much of a worry wart to let the cats out anyway so they stay indoors.

WOW he's really grown. He's such a beautiful cat. Or should I say handsome? I had never given it a thought that you could use the invisible fencing for cats. Wish I had that when I had my cat. Maybe he would still be around

Awh, what a cutie!!! He does look like he belongs outside there. The boys do tend to grow fast too!
