Blogging Interrupted...

Not a huge problem but I was pretty much a no show on Friday. Felt strange as I've not taken a day off like that in a long time. I could say my cat ate my paper (post) but it was actually a little different than that.
I've worn glasses since I was 4 years old. I have unusual vision with one very farsighted eye and one very nearsighted eye. I can stumble around OK without my specs, but cannot drive, have trouble with the computer, and sometimes make mistakes due to poor vision. Well, I'm learning the Purrmeister will need to be watched much more carefully and I will need to be more thoughtful about where I put things....

Purrmeister has developed a love of picking things up in his mouth and carrying them around. I thought it was cute. Mostly, it's a piece of rope, a cat toy, a strand of beads--pretty normal for a cat. Then, I could not find my glasses. I turned the house upside down and was totally flummoxed. There really are only a couple of places I put them and so I'm pulling out furniture, emptying garbage cans, kind of freaking out. I eventually gave up and got out a pre-bifocals old pair, which helped a little...until I started getting a headache.

Then, I happened to notice Purrmeister laying on the couch in a room I don't use very much. Luckily, I wandered over to see him, and there, beside him on the couch, were my glasses. Oh dear, they have been roughed up some and have a few pretty bad new scratches on one lens, but hey, when custom lenses cost over $300 (and the frame is extra), I was just overjoyed to find them!! So OK, Purrmeister is learning to jump up higher and higher as he gets bigger. Soon, no counter, desk or dresser top will be safe...guess I'd better learn to deal with it! Somehow, the vision of him carrying around my glasses in his mouth would have been worth seeing...right before I freaked out, though.

Late breaking news of a new treasury!

Rose, the artist behind the wonderful blog and Etsy shop-each called "Random Creative"--curated it. She loves leaves and that is the theme that pulls this collection all together! So once again, I ask you to please pop over and leave a comment or just take a closer look! And while you're clicking around, do visit Random Creative on Etsy (I'm guessing that most of you dropping by here already visit Random Creative the blog, right??)

Happy Sunday, Happy Treasury and most of all, Happy Glasses!

Oh no, Purrmeister is one little feisty guy isn't he?

Well that is a new one! A cat taking glasses as a toy! But he sure is a cute little devil!

I had a friend who had a cat who loved carrying paper bits in his mouth. He would go out and search the neighborhood, and bring home all sorts of treasures: fast food wrappers, receipts, coupons, junk mail...

I'd be lost without my glasses...but I have a pair of contact lenses just in case! If I didn't I would never be able to find the lost glasses - I'm THAT myopic :D

Oh that purmeister is a stinker. I don't have to worry about Duke getting my glasses. I only wear them when I drive so I keep them in the car. I hope he doesn't decide to take my car out for a spin. Glad you found them, too bad about the scratches, I know what a pain it can be to try and see through scratched up lenses.

I think it was his evil plot to get you to ditch work and just play with him all day! :)

I'm glad that you did find the glasses! Cats are something else...gotta love them, though. :) Thank you for including information about my treasury!

Yes! That would've freaked me out too if I couldn't find my glasses. What a little stinker Purrmeister is!
By the way, you deserve a day off now and again!

Oh, not being able to find glasses is a disaster! We don't even have a Purrmeister to blame it on. Rich now has three pairs and I have two---just in case. Of course the strength of each pair varies, so with it so do our reading and typing abilities. Whoa to us who lose our glasses! So glad you were intrepid and found them. :)
