Winter Falls Gently

Sticky snow, wet, heavy, lots of it. I didn't measure how deep it was yesterday morning, but I had an early dentist appointment so I had to shovel to open one door and again to get to my car. I bet I'll really feel it later because even small shovels full were weighty.

But things were moving, plows were out, roads were clear. I guess the powers that be knew it was coming and everybody and every thing was ready.

As yesterday wore on, I think I shoveled 3 more times, to try to keep up. It clung to trees, bushes, brush, everything had that winter wonderland feeling. And so falls winter-quietly. It's so beautiful and the light, a shortened day of it, seems to change when all that new white reflection is in play.

LATE BREAKING: A lovely review of my work! Check it out here! Thank you, Jo!

There is something appealing about the starkness of a bare tree with soft snow on it...lovely photo.
I had an early doctor's appt. this morning, but unlike you I had to battle the heavy downpour instead!

I'm so glad I don't live in snow country. I just hate the cold. Maybe Hawaii is the place I should live.

Have a terrific day. :)

The photo does make he snow look beautiful. And it is, as long as you don't have to shovel it or drive in it. You always manage to find the beauty, Karen, even when it is difficult for some of us to do so. Take good care....

Snow is very pretty. And you are lucky everyone was ready for it. We don't get snow often but when we do, it is really pretty. That is a beautiful picture. And thanks for visiting our blog.

I'll admit that the snow is beautiful when i can watch it from the warmth and comfort of my house. But venture out in it and I hate it.

I was just on joannes blog before I came here and read her review. Very nice.
