Flowers in Winter
Time to stop and smell the flowers. Well, this orchid doesn't actually have a scent, but I've been so wrapped up with my work, that I've been neglecting taking photos of the many different plants that are cheerfully blooming, in spite of the short, dark days. Another orchid is all budded up to bloom within a week or so, and just like about a year ago, when I was experimenting with what to hang my earrings on for photos....sure enough, this budded branch did a nice job of it!

What pretty orchids and the earrings are beautiful too. Great combination in a photo. But you are a master at that.

Lovely use of the flowers - the first 2 shots - very Georgia O'Keefe
My orchid is in full bloom too. Makes me smile.
Have a terrific day and weekend. :)
What a clever place to hang your earrings. I love your orchid pix. Orchids are so fascinating. When we went to see the butterflies last spring, they had brought in orchids, too. I had never seen so many varieties before. They're just amazing flowers. Maybe someday I'll give them a try.
I love orchids. What a nice way to cheer me up on a snowy cold wintery day! Love the earrings too!
Simply lovely, Karen.
Oh the plant makes an excellent prop for your photo. Those earrings are really pretty also.
Those orchids (and the photos) are incredible! I like the earrings hanging from the buds. Simple, yet lovely.
