We Know It's Coming...

I'm stuck here with a camera full of new images but no cable to download to my laptop to see what I've done. Saturday was a rare brisk sunny day but the rain returned on Sunday. Despite the rain, I still wanted to see if I could possibly capture some of the magnificent foliage color that is all around down here in Missouri. I'm hopeful because the whole day was overcast and the constant rain and mist made color nearby just brilliant and the mist muted distant images. But I need to wait until I return to actually see if my theory worked or not.

So meanwhile, I've got a flash drive with me that includes some images of new pieces that will soon appear in my Etsy and Artfire studios. We all know that snow and ice will soon follow the autumn brilliance in this part of the country, and so I have already pulled out some of my crystal quartz to see how the concept of ice will work for me this year. Several pieces are in progress but this simple one is finished and I believe it captures the winter season quite perfectly. I paired it with an actual winter image from last year just to see how this is working....

Thinking about art and new art ideas is my best therapy right now and for this, I'm very grateful. Long drive for most of the day on Monday.....

You translated the concept of the winter beautifully into the bracelets.
For the camera, you can buy 5 in 1 USB card reader, its more convenient and won't waste your camera battery.

ice and crystal - beautiful.
hopefully you will have good weather and a safe drive. dakota may be just the company you need for your return to the farm. you are in my thoughts and prayers. loosing a lifelong friend is never easy, and that space can never be filled. be sure to fill the space with memories of you and your friend doing the most fun things. remember her smile, her laugh and how her hugs felt. that more than anything will offer you comfort, and peace.

We don't have much severe weather here. It rarely snows so that would be highly unusual. Lots of folks were shorts year around. I don't, but some do. I can't imagine living in snow country.

Love the bracelet. Very winter.

Have a terrific day. :)

The bracelet portrays winter perfectly. Before I even started reading the picture of the bracelet made me think of winter icicles.

I love your piece, but I am NOT ready for snow, cold and ice. Didn't it all just melt yesterday???

The two pictures go very well together. Ice and snow. I love the beauty of winter but I don't like it. I'm eager to see your fall pictures.
