Fall Colors II (Central Missouri)

I was so delighted to get all the terrific feedback on my new ad box experiments!! It was so timely and I thank everyone who left a message. Definitely a work in progress but I think I have a new direction to focus on and shall try to put more ideas together soon. I was glad to hear what works for who because I go through these moods where I can't make a decision: I like too many different things! Black and white? Love it! Bright color? Love it! Simple and clean? Love it! Complex and ornate? Love it...see what I mean??

But now, I return you to our regularly scheduled program: the foliage tour of central Missouri. Just about a week ago, it was often an amazing riot of brilliant colors!! I was thinking about how Mother Nature ends her summer revelry with this amazing final costume, before everything (in the Midwest, anyway) winds down to be more monochromatic, more somber, more graphic instead of so "painterly." It's a curious thing and I've enjoyed some eye popping displays the past couple of weeks. Enjoy!

I just love the fiery orange trees! It's like a much needed pop of color against the grey fall skies.
