Nature's Artifacts & A Hummer

I am "campground sitting" again tonight and it's wonderfully full. Everyone is checked in, has their firewood and things are settling down for the evening. I felt twitchy today because my time is too fragmented to focus on actually making things....so I decided to see what might happen if I played around with a collection of some of the bits I've gathered on my walks this season: a wonderful nest, half of a bird's eggshell, a snake's shed skin, a fungi encrusted branch, a bit of blue glass, a pretty brown stone. I fiddled with these fragments some, shot a few different angles and views and picked the "best" to share here....

While back in one of the gardens....the Heuchera (Coral Bells) in glorious full bloom hides a quick, and camouflaged visitor:

...he buzzed me several times as I was shooting and I doubted I had captured him in any photos...until I zoomed in very close after examining about 8 different frames...and there! moving faster than the speed of light....in all his blurry glory! Look closely at the lower, right side of the larger photo....he blends perfectly with the green foliage...but I enlarged that spot...and voila!

Thanks for pointing out the hummer - never would have spotted it otherwise
