As Spring Tip-toes In...

....and it is a very different Spring than last year this time! Besides snowdrops in bloom, last week, Sandhill Cranes took a long rest in the fields here (wow they are so big!) And today, I spotted my first Redwinged Blackbird--always a great omen.

And me? I've been house hunting for a good 5 weeks now and my first attempt at a deal fell through today. It's OK. As much as I fell in love with this place, closer inspection revealed things I wouldn't want to deal with and a bank that refused to fix them (that's right, I was shopping for a foreclosure that time.) So today, I looked at something else and since this is NOT a bank property, it might go differently. We'll see and I'll keep you posted here!

In a couple of weeks, it will be the one year anniversary of my dad's passing away. So it's been a heavy year for me and that's just the was it goes. But I think I'm feeling better bit by bit, and day by day now. More ready to face changing things and getting my life moving again. I'll keep you posted! But for now, a new Spring on the old farm and the flower pageant is about to begin! I hope to take lots of photos.

I LOVE snowdrops--mine are blooming too, as well as the crocus. It's good to see them, isn't it?

Are you moving off the campground?? I hope not--I want to make THIS YEAR the year I camp there in my little tent!

Redwing blackbirds are my most favorite birds of all time. I love their song. And I like how they are really the true sign of spring--heck with those robins!

Miss ya! Hope all is well with you. :)

One year, one trip around the sun - the cycle of life...deep breath, down to your center, never forgetting but moving on, holding dear, but going forward.

Happy Spring!

Moving? So does this mean you guys are giving up the campground or just moving houses? I'm so sorry to hear that this has been a heavy year for you, but glad that it's getting easier with time.
