The last sunset of the last day of the last month of the last year in the first decade of the 2000's. (detail)
See? He really gets into the food bowl.
But there's hope he can eventually learn some table manners here
--or at least can quit standing IN the kibble bowl...
it's a new year's resolution for 2010!
I didn't make time to do a full survey of 2009 because I was getting ready to go to the New Year's Eve party I go to every year, BUT I did snap a few photos to mark the "END OF 2009" here on the farm and in the studio.--or at least can quit standing IN the kibble bowl...
it's a new year's resolution for 2010!
I do have a lot to be grateful for and happy about! The party was really fun and I even won a prize--a big, beautiful Starbucks mug with a MOOSE on it...so cute! All because I answered most of the game questions about Alaska and the great Northland correctly. (The theme of this year's party was Alaska and the great north--OK, it's a long story.) So I can quit saying "I never win anything now."
I didn't bring my camera to the party. And I'm back home now and about to call it a night, but since I've been pretty regular about getting posts up on a daily basis, I had to get this up and say....here's to a whole new year of new blog posts!!

Wow, that sunset is spectacular! (Your kitties are awfully cute, too.)
What a beautiful picture to end the year with.
Wishing you all the best in 2010. I look forward to another year of stopping by
Congrats on winning that mug!!!
Beautiful pictures as always. LOVE the one of Purrmeister IN the food bowl. Haha!
best wishes,

Beautiful sunset..
Purrmeister is just too cute! Lovely sunset too!
Happy New Year to all of you!
I wish Hobbes was a tad more serene this morning. He was wide awake and wanting someone to play with him. Ugh.
Happy New Year, Karen!
Dear Karen
Really good end-of-the-year pictures.
I can understand why you did not bring your camera to the party. It would be too much like work! I do that too and then regret it because I see pictures that are lost to me!
Sweet kitty pics.
I have not made my new year's resolutions yet because I am not finished writing about Christmas.
Then yesterday I got interrupted by a fire at a cat shelter here in Sweden. At least 25 cats perished in the flames. Some ran away into the woods, some were so badly injured that they had to be euthanized on the spot. But about 25 cats survived and need food etc. Their supplies were distroyed in the fire.
I am not asking for anything when I tell you this. There is nothing you can do in America. I am just telling you what I have been thinking about because I know your heart goes out to cats and to people who love cats.
They have collecting stations at a number of grocery and pet stores for people to leave donations of cat food.
So I'm sure the cats are getting help locally.
Did I tell you that I love your jewellery? Well I do. You are such a good artist no matter what it is you do!
Best wishes
Anna
