And I finished this new pair today in time to get started photographing them...and what a nice surprise: A friend dropped by for a nice springy supper of asparagus soup (the last from frozen spears from last year's harvest--new harvest should begin in 5 to 7 weeks!) She saw these new earrings and promptly bought them. Sooooo...although my whole "evolving season of flowers" concept here is still growing (see below) this particular "branch" is barely in progress and I was happy I got the photo here, at least!

Introducing My New Little Friend
I found this little fellow in an antique shop during my recent visit to Missouri and, since I have a serious weakness for birds, AND a pretty big bird collection (not live ones!) I had to bring him home. I have to admit, I even surprised myself when I decided to see what might happen if he helped me in a photo shoot yesterday.
Here he's holding the new "White Pearl Bouquet" earrings, posted in my Etsy shop tonight.
Then, to prepare this new set for a little feature in Cafe Handmade next week, I decided to fool around and see how a bird and flowers might interact..what do you think? Is this cheesy and trite, or fresh and fun? I'm not sure, the jury's still out, but I enjoyed doing it!
At least I think he might have a future holding earrings....as Kerri, owner of Cafe Handmade, put it "...No, I think the bird is cute. To be honest I'm getting tired of looking at earrings hanging on coffee cups or on sheet music."
