Magical Mornings

The mists of Avalon? I've been waking up just at dawn and try to keep the camera handy from about 6 to 8 a.m. The odds are good we will go from frosty and foggy to brighter in a pretty short span, or a flock of birds will pass through or something amazing will present itself.

So many beautiful views and subtle images appeal to me right now, I may need to spread this out a bit. And even though it's NOT more flower photos...perhaps it's just as lovely?

We worked hard here all day Sunday. Many of the full season campers have either left or were just wrapping things up. My newly renovated camper was all buttoned up and put in the barn for winter storage. And we shut down the campground plumbing because with freezing nights, there's always a chance the pipes can freeze and break this time of year. Another few days of work and at least the campground will be ready for winter.

Your frosty and foggy pictures are so beautiful. As one with allergies, I'm happy for the hard frost. Makes the nose much happier. And it makes all the dying grass and other vegetation look so lacy and elegant.

I love both morning frost and fog. Both together are even better. The only problem is the cold weather that comes with it. I sometimes like that chill in the air, but not when the cold begins to subdue some parts of nature.

Those photos are fantastic. It's amazing how something so simple as fog can create such a beautiful sight.

Beautiful and magical at the same time. We were having coffee on the back of our boat Saturday morning when the fog rolled it. It was indeed a very pleasant experience.

Have a terrific day. Big hug. :)
