We met in kindergarten and somehow, managed to keep in touch over these long 50 years. We knew many of each other's deepest, darkest secrets and loftiest dreams and goals. We shared a lifetime of joy and sorrow. We counted on each other to be there, even if it was through a note, an email, a phone call. And now, much too soon and much too young, you've left us behind and passed on to a better place. But on to a place free of pain and sorrow and cruelty, a place of beauty, peace and love.Rest in peace, my dear Ann. Your struggle was long and bravely faced with humor and dignity. You will be missed by so many who love you, including all your furry friends who counted you as their fiercest defender. Losing you leaves a big hole in all of our lives, yet these lives are much richer and happier for the love, joy and laughter you gave us. And we will always remember you.

Oh Karen, my heart breaks in a million pieces for you. I know exactly the depth of your loss. I lost my best friend,(we knew one another from from pre-k), as well almost 6 years ago...her name was also Amy...she was the other piece of me and I miss her everyday.
