Down for the Count

I've been down with a bug of some kind, mostly intestinal--I actually stayed away from my computer all day yesterday, no writing, dropping, etc. Wow, I didn't know I could do that! But seriously, I've been sleeping. I just hate being sick and I'm thankful to be feeling more normal today. So no photography happening, etc.

But I had this photo of Dakota that I made a week ago, while she was at the campground (where she must be on a leash) and as you can see, her winter coat is really getting thick and long! I wish I could grow hair like this lady because it's barely 3 months ago when she got a buzz cut! But this dog loves winter, thrives in the cold, wallows in the snow.

The campground was still quite active over the weekend, despite the cold and rainy weather. I had a friend pitch hit for me Friday and Saturday because I didn't know if I was contagious or not and didn't want to risk it. It's the first weekend I haven't worked there since we opened May 1 for the season.

Two weeks from tomorrow we will be closed for the season. There's a lot to do to button up and winterize things, but then, when that's all under control, I should be back in my studio full time! And for that, I'm very grateful!!

Hope you will be feeling better soon. Take it easy and rest as much as you can.
Get a flu-shot when they become available. This so-called pig-flu may be a real bad one.
Your dog Dokota is so pretty. Yes, wouldn't it be nice to have hair-growth like that!
Best wishes

i hate those nasty bugs. this time of year it is important to keep your immune system strong to fight those nasty things. echinacea is good for boosting the immune system. i'm happy to hear that you are doing better. the photo of dakota is beautiful. looks like he will stay plenty warm with that thick coat. get well soon my friend...hugz!

Oh my I am sorry to hear you have been down too. I hope today will see you come round 100%!

I got my lovely little boxes the other day and I so so want to open them.

But, I am waiting for a day without rain so I can get some good light and get a picture!

The green tie was the perfect touch!

Get better soon!

Lots of fluids and hopefully some chicken soup, okay? So sorry you are not feeling well. Please rest as much as possible and keep Dakota nearby for comfort. What a beautiful dog she is! Thinking of you and wishing you good health....

Ahhh Dakota looks so comfy and cuddly.

I hope that you mend well and feel better as soon as possible.

I know how hard it is to just rest but rest is your best medicine:)
