My New Little Friend!
What a precious moment! Stepped out on my deck this morning, a lovely balmy day and when I glanced over at my Cereus cacti, this precious little cutie was calmly and casually perched on the edge of the pot. I dashed back into the house to find my camera and sure enough, he/she remained there through a good bit of the morning.
I love to find little visitors around the gardens and the campground, even if I can't always identify them. While I'm quite sure this is a frog, and probably a "tree frog", he/she was barely the size of my thumb and I have no idea about any particulars...except he/she was truly adorable. I was tempted to kiss him/her, in case he/she might turn into royalty right there on the porch...but I resisted temptation and about an hour later, poof! no more frog to be seen. But what a thrill while it lasted!
A couple of links I'd like to keep current here:

Thanks for pointing out the matching green! Great shots. :)
I like frogs because they have this eternal smile on their faces. Yours sort of has a Mona Lisa smile, don't you think?! He (?) is very cute!

Awh, what a cutie! I love it when I get to feel like I'm not the only one in the world who stops to appreciate little things like that and get excited. Blog land is great:) Also, I voted for you.
AND stop thanking me for the feature, you deserve it so much, your blog and work is beautiful!
Now that is a really cool looking frog. Nothing like that ever hangs out around here and if it did it would probably make a mad dash the minute it saw my camera.
A great picture of this frog. He looks like his back was painted green. If you ever do test a frog fro princehood let us know the results. :)
He's precious! I want one for myself. I would name him Alfred.
Have you managed to find out its name? It looks so unusual almost as though two different species have been crossed together.
Have you ever seen one before? It couldn't have been transported in on a bunch of bananas could it? The reason I ask is it resembles species found in South America .... I would be most interested if anyone can identify it.
I thought this little cutie could win a few fans here!! As best I can see, yes, it IS a tree frog, and no doubt American as we have tons of amphibians in our wetlands around here (hooray, it means our water is clean & runoff is not toxic). I looked through many photos tonight and I'm not sure, but I sense he could be quite young (and fresh!) and really, it seems he's quite common in our area as he's a tree frog, as best I can tell. Any other info or comments are surely welcome!
I love frogs...
What a cutie!
Love all your pictures! Just voted for your blog on your link! Good luck!
