More New Ideas & Some New Pieces

It really is easier for me to put up nature photos and brief thoughts here on my blog as a means of fulfilling daily artistic urges. My hours, days, weeks are so fragmented at this time that gathering my wits long enough to fully follow through and develop new wearable pieces is slow going. Then, the challenge of finding the coincidence of time AND lovely light conditions to shoot new pieces for display, editing the photos...etc. It's much easier to follow through on all these tasks when the campground ISN'T so busy....

But hey, these things ARE going and so I will be posting some new results of these efforts here over the next few days, even as they also make their way into my online shops. I've been working on a new necklace form even as I think about pieces that might transition from summer into fall--from lower necklines to barely open collars. I've become enchanted with the strand or cluster of matching stones and so designed a way that these could lay in the front, along and below the collarbones. I decided they needed to adjust from a shorter length of about 16" to a longer length of 18" in order to work with different necklines, etc. Athough in each example, the longer 2nd strand hangs a bit lower.

I've chosen sterling chain instead of braided linen or leather for now, although I can easily switch back. They have different looks and a different feel, but both are attractive and comfortable to wear. Another thing I'm not doing right now is pairing these pieces with photographs of nature. Actually, since all of these materials--keishi pearls, apatite teardrops and smokey quartz--ARE completely natural, I don't feel inclined to do the "where ideas come from" photo pairing at this time!!

Enjoy...and do let me know if you're interested in any of these as they are tiny editions of 2 or 3 each. And once again, after they are listed in my shops, their listings will be linked to these photos.

I love all of them. I really like the sterling silver chains - I'm a silver kind of girl! The Keishi pearls are gorgeous, the blue stones are so soothing and the smokey stones are so earthy. Now, which one is my favorite...its too hard to choose!

I like the first one with the white, "flakelike" keishi pearls.

My three cats, Cajsa, Sara and Calle, say "hello" to your cats and dog!
