Sunset Colors

Brenda of SplitRock Ranch has created a sunset inspired fiber blend and when I checked it out on her blog....I realized I had just photographed an especially colorful sky that sort of matched it. As I looked through recent photos I had made of the sky and of the gardens here that echoed this rich color scheme, I put this collection together, just for the beauty of it all. Enjoy!

And while I'm at it, thanks so much to everyone who visits here to indulge in my current photo obsession. For several days, my blog managed to top the "Art" category on Entrecard, which made me so happy! And yes, I'll begin posting more of my new creations very soon...slowly but surely, a new collection for late summer and fall is coming together...meanwhile, the gardens are pretty compelling and I really enjoy sharing my photos. So a special thanks to each of my new friends here for all the wonderful comments.

Actually, not sweet william but good old fashioned phlox! And the very tallest red lily...opening now and soon to be posted again is an Oriental lily, name unknown. But astonishing as the more mature plants are 6 feet tall!! I'm pretty tall...this lily towers above me. Amazing....

Absolutely gorgeous. I'm so glad that my Oahu Sunset batts inspired you to see this right in your own backyard! Mother Nature is amazing - that is where I get the majority of my inspiration. Photographs and the world around me here at the ranch are inspiration for much of my work. I can't wait to see your new collection of jewelry! Would love to see more of those Keishi pearls and silver chain...hint... :o)

Your photos are beautiful and it's a pleasure to stop by and see what new ones you have posted. Much as I love aspects of the desert landscape I miss looking at lovely flowers with all their colors and shapes.

Beautiful photography. I love the way the one picture of the sky has colors in it like the flowers. Very nice.
